Jennifer Dean with TradeWind Energy of Lenexa will discuss environmental issues with wind energy development. We will also receive updates on chapter organization issues from Harold Draper and Ed Bowers.

The June meeting of the Mid-America Association of Environmental Professionals (MAAEP) is open to the public and will be a panel discussion entitled: Sustainability and the Stimulus. MAAEP has invited representatives of different levels of government and private industry to share information regarding economic recovery stimulus monies recently allocated to their respective organizations or jurisdiction and how some of the monies are being used to promote energy efficiency. In addition the panel will discuss the programs and opportunities that are available to companies for their respective organizations to achieve success as they pursue their individual energy reduction and sustainability goals. This conference is designed to help companies understand the programs and existing funding and how to apply for those funds.

After a brief introduction the panel members will describe their organizations initiatives and the discussion will then be opened up for questions by the audience.
